Will it ever get warm! It has snowed off and on the last couple of days. I am ready for summer! Well Darrin and Austin returned from their trip to Japan. They had a great time. The first four nights were spent in the city of Kakamigahara. Austin stayed with a host family in their home. He was so excited because he was able to stay with the same boy that we hosted in our home in October. He thought that was the best part of the trip. Darrin stayed in a hotel with the other adults while all the kids stayed with host families. They went to several castles and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. After Kakamigahara, they took the bullet train to Osaka and stayed there the remainder of the trip. Every day they took a sight-seeing trip somewhere. One day was spent in Hiroshima at the Atomic Bomb Museum. This was very interesting. They have some very touching photos from there. They returned with major jet lag and lots of goodies. We have all tried fish jerky, japaese candy made of bean mash, and yummy chocolates. They brought Jarrin a (pretend) samurai sword which he thought was awesome. It is good to have them back.
